Ramzi J Mahmood

Dr. Mahmood is currently a Professor and Chair of the Civil Engineering Department at Sacramento State. He has been a faculty member at the university since 1994. He became the director of Office of Water Programs in 1997. Dr. Mahmood launched the OWP Research Group, which specializes in the area of stormwater quality. In addition to his university service, Dr. Mahmood possesses approximately ten years of industry experience. His interest is in the movement of chemicals in soil systems, modeling environmental systems, environmental data analysis, and spatial data analysis. Dr. Mahmood consults and collaborates with numerous agencies including: California Department of Transportation, California Environmental Protection Agency, Sacramento County, United States Army Corps of Engineers.
