I am a historian of modern East Asia, with a focus on Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, and China in the 20th century. My research interests include nationalism, identity formation, social movement, pan-Asianism, (anti-)colonialism, and global connections. Beyond work, I am a devout football (soccer) fan.
