Expertise

I am a sociocultural developmental psychologist studying cultural differences in childrearing practices and family life, especially the development of young children’s collaboration as a strength for learning. My research examines how children in Mexican and Indigenous families of the Americas learn to collaborate in everyday situations and how families foster initiative in early childhood.
