Professor Ati Mosupyoe, serves as the Dean of Students and Chief Administration Officer for Sacramento State Black Honors College. She holds a BA from University of the North, Courses in BA Honors from University of South Africa (UNISA), Masters and PhD in Social Cultural Anthropology from University of California, Berkeley, and Secondary Teacher’s Course Diploma from Batswana Training College. She served as an Associate Dean of Resource and Program Management in the College of Social Science and Interdisciplinary Studies. She was the director of Pan African Studies and Cooper-Woodson College Enhancement Program (California State University Sacramento) for more than 10 years, was the first woman and Black woman chair of Ethnic Studies Department which manages Pan African Studies, Native American Studies, Chicanx Studies and Asian American Studies. Professor Mosupyoe’s research includes, quantitative and qualitative ethnographic research on patriarchy, sexism, internalized sexism and racism, Genocide and Holocaust Studies, Comparative African Immigration trends and impact on Africa and African Diaspora, African Centric Production of Knowledge, and issues of Social Justice amongst others.
