Expertise

Research interests include: student and individual development affected by social class; social-class bias in both clinical mental health and counselor education; professional identity within Licensed Professional Counselors and Counselor Education; the treatment of substance abuse within the post-secondary and clinical environments; the impact of the opioid epidemic on rural communities, children, and families; the promotion of social justice in substance abuse counseling & treatment; and bullying/incivility in higher education.
