I am an archaeological anthropologist specializing in the comparative study of early complex societies. My research focuses on the interplay between settlement demography, inequality, and sociopolitical and socioeconomic processes. I study these issues from a multiscalar perspective and through the quantitative and spatial analysis of archaeological data. I carry out field research in southern Central America, namely central and eastern Panama.
