In 2001, I became NASP's Crisis Management Interest Group coordinator, followed by leadership roles including committee chair, state delegate, region representative, secretary, and eventually NASP president. [...]to be an effective leader, you need to do more than attend meetings; you need to accept the many tasks assigned to you in service of our profession.
