The intensity of reactions associated with a student's death can even place others at risk via contagion effects associated with student suicides and the many forms of aggression that can increase after a tragic loss. Because of these high stakes, it is imperative for school professionals to know howto respond appropriately toa student death. [...]when deciding how to best support students, the principal and team will want to identify when and how to return the school to its usual routine.
