Abstract

The sequelae of concussion may have psychological consequences that affect an athlete’s confidence in the ability to return to play. While a lingering lack of confidence in their ability to play may decrease athletes’ performance and lead to fear, anxiety, and re-injury, this psychological readiness is not currently monitored after concussion.
