Abstract
[Introduction] In October of 2020 I was invited to present at the Japanese Society of Prosthetics and Orthotics (JSPO) in Niigata, Japan. The topic of the presentation was Lower Limb Amputee and Prosthetic Measures: A Perspective from The United States. The invitation to talk was on the use of outcome measures amongst physical therapists and prosthetists in the United States (US), towards the purpose of developing a national registry in Japan. "The routine use of outcome measures to support evidence-based practice is the future of clinical practice for prosthetists." Through this collaboration between my practice and teaching in the US and the Japanese Society of Prosthetics and Orthotics, I am again honored to present at the 39th Japanese Society of Prosthetics and Orthotics in Okayama Japan on Multi-professional Collaboration and The Role and Practice of Physical Therapists in The United States and Lower Limb Amputation Rehabilitation.
