- Chrissina Burke - Chrissina C. Burke (Chrissina.Burke@nau.edu) earned her doctorate in anthropology with a focus on zooarchaeology in 2013 from the University of Nevada, Reno. She has been an educator at Northern Arizona University since 2013 and recently earned promotion to Assistant Dean for Student Success of the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences. Her research predominantly focuses on human-animal interactions through time, decolonizing anthropology and higher education, and building more equitable pedagogy in undergraduate courses.Aliyah Balsiger - Northern Arizona UniversityJames Wilce - Jim Wilce (jim.wilce@gmail.com) is a retired anthropologist whose work was at the intersection of semiotics, discourse, poetics, medicine, and psychiatry. He carried out several years of fieldwork in each of two countries—Bangladesh and Finland—and enjoyed rich collaboration with Janina Fenigsen, among others. Now, Wilce spends his days photographing wildlife and landscapes and creating panoramas in post-production—fine art photos now featured in online collections highlighting the work of professional artists. I want to express my gratitude to Leila Monaghan for her friendship and support—indeed I would say, her love. I had hoped to spend time with her once more before her death. That was not to be, with me stuck in Flagstaff, Arizona, and Leila in Wyoming. Thank you, Leila, star in your many fields, good colleague, and dear friend! We miss you!Donald Grushkin - California State University, SacramentoBonnie Marquez - Center for Health and Gender EquityEmery Eaves - Emery R. Eaves (Emery.Eaves@nau.edu) is an Associate Professor in Anthropology at Northern Arizona University. Her research is focused on drug use and harm reduction, and most recently, she completed an ethnographic project on decriminalization of drug use in Portugal.
