Abstract

Psychology, Applied Broaching Intersectionality Marginalized Privileged Counseling Psychology Social Sciences
Broaching identity and power in counseling can deepen appreciation for the client's lived experience. In a cross-sectional study, clients indicated which identities their counselor broached with them throughout counseling and their overall satisfaction with services. Exploratory analyses and implications for broaching intersectionality from a humanistic perspective are outlined.
