Abstract
The purpose of this article is to explore the use of guided imagery in career counseling with emerging adults. Career guided imagery with a narrative approach, helps emerging adults explore questions as they begin to lay a foundation for their future. A structured guided imagery provides a safe environment for emerging adults to contemplate new possibilities, test options, and explore career choices. This article provides counseling with an intervention and theoretical lens for clinical practice. Cultural considerations are explored for implications for practice and future research.
