Abstract
According to the NASP Operations Handbook: Any NASP member (except Associate, Student Associate, Canadian, and International Members) may run for a NASP Delegate position. (NASP Operations Handbook, 2020, Appendix III.3, p. 1) Who Can Run for President-Elect and Treasurer? Because of the critical nature of the officer positions, the LA has placed some additional requirements for candidates beginning with the 2022 election cycle (see Paige & Brock, 2020, for a discussion of this change). From this point forward, to run for the office of President-Elect, an individual must: (a) be eligible for regular membership in NASP; (b) be a current NASP member; and (c) have NASP Leadership Assembly experience (i.e., have been a delegate, committee chair, strategic liaison, strategic planning coordinator, or elected officer) within the previous 7 years of their run for office.
