Abstract
In this paper, we demonstrate a polymer localized liquid crystal (PLLC) lens for autostereoscopic 3D application. The no‐voltage focal length of a PLLC lens is set by the polymerization conditions, but can be varied by the application of a voltage which is promising for tracking the viewer position. The fabrication process does not require a shaped substrate, complicated electrode patterns or an optimized driving voltage to make a parabolic optical phase shape. Therefore, both fabrication and driving process are relatively simple with this type of lens.
