Abstract
Welcome to Mine House is a collection of original short fiction, memoir, and poetry exploring themes of memory, childhood, family, and the universal longing for connection. Each piece attempts to take form organically from its subject matter. The author is interested in the way both words and simple images act as individual-at times isolating--bowls of meaning. This collection is an attempt to create order from an onslaught of those bowls. To shape a life from small bits of language and symbols.
