Abstract
It was the purpose of this study (1) to compare the social acceptance, in certain specific areas, of elementary school children who were newly entered in a school and who had attended several other schools with the social acceptance of children who were long time members of the same school; (2) to compare the social acceptance or both groups of children after a period of several months had elapsed; (3) to analyze the nature of this social acceptance, both as to intensity and direction of acceptance; and (4) to compare the social acceptance of these two groups of children with a standardized measure of their personality adjustment.
