Abstract

California history City development Local history Folsom (Calif.) History Oral History
This community oral history project was designed to capture the stories and reminiscences of citizens who resided in Folsom, California from 1980-2000 and who participated in the city’s rapid growth and development. These individuals each served in a variety of capacities including civic leadership, business ownership, and land development. This project addresses a gap in Folsom historiography by focusing on the late-twentieth century development of this city. These interviews offer firsthand perspectives of land, population, and economic growth during a pivotal time in the city’s history.
