The relevancy of the political climate, which impacts the bureaucracy of society, indoctrinates individual sacrifice impacting the outcome and relatable to current societal conflict. The Smithsonian articles containing the history of refugees in 1939 became inspiration in order to create a fictionalized version for the short film. Virginia Woolf’s novel To the Lighthouse, utilized multiple narrators to convey characters, reflecting on their current conditions. The short film project visually documents a societal political preference, where an individual’s inherent belief system evolves to a moral standard of humanitarianism.
