Abstract
It was the purpose of this study to attempt to determine why five students did not complete high school. The case study method was used. Research studies made in high schools throughout the country indicate that between forty and fifty per cent of the students attending will drop out of school. The making of this study has helped the writer (a teacher) to understand better the problems children face, both in and out of the classroom. It has increased her awareness of some of the difficulties facing the schools in their attempt to help youth.
