Abstract
THE BURNING FIELD is a collection of related stories. Taken together, the connected stories tell a more complex, convoluted tale than the stories by themselves. The work involves several interwoven short stories concerning two boys (friends since childhood) who loosely mirror one another. In many ways, the boys (Thomas and Billy) are alter egos.
