Abstract
Latinos are considered to be the fastest growing minority group in America. However as this population continues to grow mental health service providers need to consider the barriers that Latinos often confront when trying to obtain mental health services. The purpose of this research study is to address and discuss the barriers that Latinos have in obtaining mental health services. This study will utilize a qualitative approach to address these barriers. The participants of study were employees of Turning Point Community Programs. These individuals were selected based following, they are currently employed through Turning Point Community Programs and work in the field of mental health services. The survey that was completed was to analyze and understand their level of knowledge regarding the Latino population and their engagement with this population.
