Abstract
This research examined the increase college attainment success among Hmong American students attending Sacramento State University. An exploratory study design was used to evaluate secondary data as a guidance and model to understand the contributing factors to Hmong college students increase rate in higher education. Findings revealed that the variables utilized to determine the key factors to the increase rate in Hmong college student’s academic attainment showed no significant relationship. A recommendation made for future researchers is to explore and learn how the Hmong cultural influences may affect the development of the students. This study will allow researchers to understand the strength and supports that allowed Hmong college students to succeed despite many risk factors.
