Abstract
This project explores the Sacramento County Probation Department Placement Division’s Deputy Probation Officers’ job duties and role by utilizing a non-probability convenience sampling technique and department documents to learn about the daily functions of the Deputy Probation Officer (DPO). This incorporated gathering survey information from the DPOs of the IMPACT, Level A, and Level B Units. It offers two case studies to examine the process through the juvenile justice system that ends with the placement department. This project demonstrates how significant the DPOs are to the juveniles assigned to placement division.
