Abstract

Assessment Contributions Evaluations GitHub Monitoring Team-projects
In today’s fast-paced educational environment, accurately assessing individual contributions within team-based projects presents a significant challenge for educators. Traditional evaluation methods often fail to account for disparities in participation, leading to unfair grading practices and missed opportunities for personal growth. Team Contributions application is designed to bridge this gap by offering a streamlined platform that provides educators with real-time insights into each student’s contributions within software development teams. Leveraging data from GitHub repositories, the system aggregates key metrics such as commits, code contributions, and issue resolutions, transforming this information into clear and actionable visualizations through intuitive dashboards. This fosters a transparent assessment process, ensuring fairness and accountability while encouraging collaboration among team members. By prioritizing equitable evaluation and personalized feedback, Team Contributions application not only empowers instructors to make informed grading decisions but also supports students in achieving their academic and professional development goals. The platform stands as a comprehensive tool for enhancing the quality of education in team-based learning environments.
