Abstract
While its importance is often overlooked, software testing is a vital process in the Software Development Life Cycle that can be used to evaluate the quality, correctness, and completeness of a project. There are many ways to approach software testing, but effective testing usually incorporates a managed, systematic test plan. In order to assist in the software testing effort, this project will focus on the
implementation of a Test Planning and Management system that was originally designed by Dr. Ahmed M. Salem and the Software Testing Research Center at CSU, Sacramento in conjunction with Hewlett-Packard (HP). The goal of this tool is to assist users in the test planning and management process by providing them with a means to easily monitor and report on their testing efforts.
