Abstract
This project centers on developing the automated testing of the USB4 Version 2.0 implementation on an Intel platform and USB4 solution. Explicitly, the 80 Gbps feature in USB4 Version 2.0 will be supported by upgrading the existing automation hardware. The automated test will handle the connection, detection, enumeration, and verify the transfer speed of 80 Gbps. The test will be triggered through a job in an open-source automation server (Jenkins). Due to the lack of USB4 Version 2.0 based devices, it was not possible to validate the 80 Gbps speed at the time of the project. However, the project was able to provide a proof of concept that the 80 Gbps feature can be validated by utilizing platforms and devices that have the 40 Gbps feature. Overall, the result of the project demonstrates that the USB4 implementation is automated and can validate the specified transfer speed.
