Abstract
The study examines who would become victims of abusive supervision, and among those victims, whose performance would be affected from being abused. Using a sample of 215 full-time US employees occupying a variety of positions across an organization in the finance industry, I found that job performance did not affect the likelihood of becoming the victims of abusive supervision. Further, among the employees who attributed supervisors’ abusive motive to injury initiation, abusive supervision was positively related to their consequential job performance.
