Abstract
Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) permit a plethora of applications which include surveillance, photography, search and recuse, and cargo delivery. These UAVs, however, are prone to malicious attacks that could significantly impact the safety of UAVs. These attacks are sometimes not possible to resolve due to the high resources used by the attacker. Hence, efficient hacking identification is vital for the operation of UAVs. This project will outline major UAV security threats and proposes a simple technique that detects attacks on UAVs. The proposed technique will exploit the large dimensional antenna arrays found in modern UAVs for attack detection and mitigation. Successful detection and mitigation of attacks permits the system operator to take necessary measures for controlling and navigating the UAVs.
