Abstract
This document explains my discovering during the development of my work in the Master of Arts in Art Studio program. My work was born from the need to understand my body and its role in the development of identity. In the process I learned that sometimes the body is overtaken by intense feelings that paralyze it and alter the way we see ourselves. Identity is a complex concept that tests our understanding in the natural and artificial.
