Abstract
The purpose of this research study was to evaluate the California Department of Justice employee viewpoint survey’s psychometric properties. This research study used archival data to interpret the employee viewpoint survey’s psychometric properties. Participants of this research study are California Department of Justice employees. Based on the information available, there were 2,944 participants out of 4,906 employees, which is a response rate of 60%. This research study had its participants recruited through email and in-person. Participants completed the survey through an online or hard copy form. Results in this study suggested that of the 7 factors tested, there are two distinct and stable factors (i.e., Attitudes towards Supervisors and Attitudes towards Management) within the employee viewpoint survey. A limitation of this research study is that all the data are self-reported attitudes, with missing data occurring throughout the responses.
