Abstract
Colors symbolize many things along the spectrum of life and may have deep psychological effects. Natural and unnatural hues embody abstractions of subject and space. Self has emerged as the subject and implied content. Subconscious representations of aspects of self, have inherently emerged. Large-scale work has allowed me to express these concepts with greater visual impact. My work includes multiple-panel-paintings and stand-alone works, some recent works have evolved from magnified sections of earlier paintings and from combining images to create new compositions. Multiple-panel pieces tell a story of order, disorder, and an attempt to balance the two in a controlled chaos. Science, music, and literature influence my creations as do my memories, dreams, and - ultimately - life. Some of these influences reflect starkly as if looking into a mirror, while others, cryptically so, seem to creep in subconsciously.
