Abstract
Senior Design course - CSc 190/191, a required course for students of Computer Science major at California State University, Sacramento - is intended to help students make the transition from academic life to professional life. It helps students in applying their software engineering knowledge to real world projects. Project Management and Collaboration Platform helps all its stakeholders (students/advisors/instructor of CSc 190/191) to collaborate and coordinate all project needs and documents, track and monitor project progress, updates, and issues. The platform have capabilities of storing, tracking, and managing each team’s project related documents, tasks, calendar, meetings, grades etc. It provides integrated version history, collaborative live editing of documents, and supports for collecting and storing faculty signatures on important documents such as SRS, SDS etc. In essence, the platform should simulate real-world software development process by requiring students to focus on all aspects of SDLC and by providing them continuous feedback. The platform is implemented in Microsoft Sharepoint (designer and online cloud) using ASP.net, CSS, HTML. The platform is integrated as a part of course, CSC 190/CSc 191.
