Abstract
In this project, a novel method predicting voltage collapse named Wide-Area Loss Index (WALI) will be tested on IEEE 3-machine 9-bus system and IEEE 10-machine 39-bus system. A region of interest is considered for voltage criteria calculation. The simulation is implemented in MATLAB Simulink. The results for the voltage instability prediction by using WALI coefficient will be published in an IEEE paper.
