Abstract
Statement of Problem: To determine if a group of strength and power tests combined is an accurate tool in evaluating training progress and predicting future performance of Division I track and field athletes in jumping, sprinting and throwing events over their four-year collegiate career. Sources of Data: Data used in the study was previously collected and permission to use the data was given. Conclusions Reached: Max Jones Quad test can be effectively used as a tool for coaches as well as athletes to predict performance in athlete final year of competition in sprints and jumping events and not very effective for the throwers.
