Abstract
We are a collage of the places we come from and the places we experience. During our lives, we connect ourselves to these locations, whether they are geographical, emotional, relational, or spiritual. And, whether or not we recognize it, these places and the people associated with them connect themselves to us. In this collection of poems, I explore this concept through various snapshots related to my life. Sometimes a bond resurfaces amid seemingly ordinary moments in life: a song heard on the radio during a long drive home, the smell of your grandfather’s pliers, a trip abroad with a longtime friend. Other times, it is discovered in the space outside the frame of an old photograph.
