Abstract
A painting has the potential to capture the essence of a figure's core and relate all its nuance back to the viewer. I believe that beyond our civilized consciousness, there is an animalistic, natural core to all of us. A painting has real possibilities when it successfully reaches a place where it can reveal and enhance these truths. The paintings also deliver a truth about who I am and where I have been. Most importantly, each painting is an opportunity to deliver an insightful truth about who we are as a whole.
