Abstract
Health care institutions continue to look for approaches that will help improve the quality of care delivered to their patients. In order to provide effective and efficient patient care in today's health care systems, it is essential for doctors and other health care professionals to learn to work effectively in teams. Interprofessional education provides skills for collaborative practice and can help create a sense of value amongst each profession involved while using a holistic concept towards patient care. This was a collaborative study that analyzed secondary quantitative data of Post-Baccalaureate medical students' perceptions towards interdisciplinary teamwork and education following a shared learning class. Our study found that there was significant negative change in students' perceptions upon completion of the course.
