Abstract
The project includes interfacing a display unit with the microcontroller. This is a part of a security system that consists of display device, storage media and the sensors. The main idea behind the project was to interface the sensors and storage media like compact flash drive with a display unit. The sensor detects the state like temperature, light etc and if there is an emergency then it is displayed on LCD display and then stored in to the storage media for further processing. The microcontroller generates all essential signals used for controlling the LCD display unit. Also simultaneously fetches the data from memory and displays it on the screen. The operation of fetching the image data from memory and displaying on the LCD display could vary depending on the efficiency of the Microcontroller used. As a secondary task the project also includes designing and implementation of the clock circuit using IC or crystal oscillators and Voltage regulator. This choice of clock generation circuit depends on the requirement of clock needed for the controller. It can also be used in the security system in which it would display images for alerts related to danger or caution. Another application for this device is to interface this board with the webcams or security cams where it could continuously take the pictures and store it in the memory.
