Abstract
Statement of Problem
More and more teens neglect to read as a daily habit favoring other pursuits instead. The ramifications of this reality are that America's teens are suffering academic consequences as 1vell as personal consequences. This project proposes to inspire teens to read by participation in The Inspired Reader Project, which utilizes alternative forms of assessment in a high school classroom in partnership with technology.
Conclusions Reached
With a more direct instructional approach that utilizes alternative forms of assessment, adolescent students can be more aware of the necessity and positive influence reading daily could have on their lives. Students can therefore be inspired to read more frequently.
