Abstract
Social Work professionals who are working in a macro capacity were surveyed for this study in order to gain insight into what inspired them to engage in macro level practice. Of the 30 professionals surveyed the majority report being influenced by their education and by attending social action events such as lobby days. The study corroborates literature, which states that social work students are heavily influenced by classes taken while obtaining a social work degree and that in order to inspire future practice on the macro level strong macro content should be infused in education programs.
