Abstract
The purpose of this study is to provide a theoretical foundation for the application of communication strategies used by Martial Arts instructors to improve training interventions designed to address workplace bullying. Phronetic iterative data analysis finds that Kovar’s Martial Arts instructor’s training manual teaches specific communication behaviors that embody Transformational Leadership. Secondly, Phronetic iterative analysis suggests that systematic practice of the communication behaviors support Critical Success Factors (CSFs) for implementation of workplace bullying interventions. This thesis further argues that the seven communication behaviors inform anti-bullying efforts and function as primary interventions to workplace bullying.
