Abstract

High school Substance use Teen dating Teens Mental Health Secondary Education
High school can be a time full of exciting new adventures, as well as new challenges. Aside from educational pressures, many teens deal with social and emotional hardships along their high school trajectory. This project focuses on the literature surrounding some of the prominent issues that are impacting teens today. In particular, we examine the research and evidence-based recommendations behind three important topics: Teen Dating, Mental Health, and Substance Use. This project is intended to provide a website with resources for teenagers, families, school-based mental health members, and other individuals who work closely with teens. Free resources from credible sources, community-based resources, and evidence-based recommendations are provided throughout the website. The website’s main goal is to serve as an accessible basis for resources as teens navigate the distinct challenges throughout the high school experience.
