Abstract
This study explored relationships and how college students perceive healthy and unhealthy qualities. This research used a quantitative survey design, using a Likert-scale based questionnaire. Study participants (N=40) were selected through a convenience sampling method and responded to questions that focused on student perceptions and healthy and unhealthy relationship qualities. Data analysis from the surveys indicated that there was an association between the student perception and healthy and unhealthy relationship qualities. One significant finding was that all of the students agreed that date night was important and disagreed that it was not acceptable to neglect towards your partner. Implications for social work practice and policy are discussed.
