Abstract
With the growing need for on-demand computer system resources like data storage, development tools, networking, cloud computing is gaining more and more importance. These software services are delivered to users according to the need, over the internet. Owing to its low operation costs, scalability, accuracy, and speed, cloud services have gained a great deal of popularity in recent years. OpenStack is a one of the most popular cloud services. The advantage of OpenStack in that it is an open-source cloud and thus provides its user the flexibility to deploy. The OpenStack Dashboard, called Horizon, provide a way for these users and businesses to manage their resources by themselves. This dashboard is extremely useful and informative. However, compared to other leading commercial cloud technologies like AWS, Azure and GCP, lacks in various aspects. In this project, I propose to enhance the existing OpenStack dashboard to display the performance data including CPU time, memory usage, instance tracking and presenting this information in user friendly form.
