Abstract
The revolution of social media companies has made the world rely on their platform services for personal reasons and business purposes. The popularity of these platforms raises concern and stimulates fear of data vulnerability. Companies like Twitter, Facebook, Google, and others provide their services for free. Using these platforms, we take the advantage to publicly express our opinions, share our thoughts, and discuss common interests. On the other hand, we fail to recognize that we pay for these services through our privacy. These social media companies gain their majority of revenue from selling our information to this data-driven world. They use the contents that we broadcast publicly to help make their advertising more relevant and serve ads on and off their services. Upon considering these concerns, making small changes in the way we use these platforms can help maintain our data privacy. Our application provides users a bridge to secure their social media content and have control over the data with least managing efforts. The users have the complete control of whom they want to allow access to view contents. This also includes the social media services from accessing the content that are broadcast publicly. For this purpose, we have developed a mobile application that integrates with Twitter to securely post and share tweets. This application is designed to be social media network agnostic, meaning you can easily extend the application to include other social media networks.
