Abstract
Research has shown that mindfulness-based practices are associated with psychological benefits, including positive effects in self-regulation, emotional regulation, executive function, and reduction of stress and anxiety. Although plenty of research supports the use of mindfulness-based practices, interventions and implementations have primarily focused on adults—not children. The goal of this project was to provide educators with information on how mindfulness can be beneficial for children, to provide a brief training on how to guide their students into cultivating mindfulness, and to develop the efficacy to implement such practices in their classroom.
