Abstract
Since the year 2019 the Covid virus has infected a lot of people thus resulting in a very high mortality rate. When the Covid disease spread started, many efforts were taken by the government to stop the transmission. The COVID-19 pandemic has emphasized the significance of effective contact tracing to contain the spread of infectious diseases. After the pandemic many dashboards and mobile applications appeared in the market to provide data about Covid-19 and to prevent the spread of Covid-19. In this regard, the development of a contact tracing Android application with vaccination status detection can play a crucial role. This application will allow users to scan their vaccine cards and use OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology to get vaccine data like number of doses, name of vaccine and date of vaccine shot. The application uses Bluetooth technology to detect nearby users and notify the user if someone they come in close contact with is not vaccinated or partially vaccinated, thus enabling them to take necessary precautions. This application is designed to be user-friendly and accessible to all members of the community. Overall, this mobile application serves as a powerful tool in promoting public health and safety during infectious disease outbreaks.
