Abstract
The purpose of this research was to assess and improve the understanding of managers at Lowe’s Home Centers of the organization’s Coaching and Corrective Action Policy. Stakeholders had determined that the management team at this location could need training on the subject. A needs assessment was utilized to determine the training needs of the 18 members of management. The aim of this research was to empower employees to make workplace behavior improvements through strengthening the coaching skills of their leaders. The project is limited in generalization due to the sample consisting of managers from only one store location. It was expected that this research would make a contribution to the store and be a step toward the development and implementation of a training program on the subject. Additionally, this project contributed to the research on implementing coaching training for retail managers.
