Abstract
The purpose of this study was to explore potential social worker bias towards fathers with a history of domestic violence (DV) that are involved with the child welfare system. A questionnaire survey was distributed to social workers employed in the child welfare system regarding their perspective on working with fathers that have a history of DV. The study findings suggest there is likely social worker bias against fathers with DV history. More research is required to expand on the extent of the bias and how it may impact family outcomes.
